Let There Be Light at the Browning Hangar!

Let there be light at the Hangar!

The Browning Hangar is one of Mueller’s most beloved community spaces — a place for fitness, family gatherings, and neighbors coming together. But as the days grow shorter, the hangar becomes too dark to use safely in the evening.

The solution is simple: installing a public, weatherproof timer switch on the hangar’s electrical box. This would allow anyone to turn on the lights for a set period of time (like tennis courts or gyms), with the lights turning off automatically afterward.

The Vision

  • Safe & welcoming: Evening use of the hangar stays open to all.
  • Energy smart: The timer ensures lights can’t be left on all night.
  • Cost effective: A one-time installation by a licensed electrician, estimated at $2,000.
  • Community positive: Keeps the hangar lively and accessible for everyone

Next Step: Catellus Approval

Catellus (the developer and steward of Mueller) has the authority to approve this small improvement. With their support, the project can move forward quickly and be ready for the fall and winter season.

How You Can Help

We need Catellus to see how much this matters to the people who use the hangar. Please take a moment to send them a quick note of encouragement.
